It has been said elsewhere that we consider CNC machine tools to be a fundamentally important component of any serious industrial development. Step one for us was the establishment of a Swedish Company to develop and commercialise a CNC machine tool of a size and type suitable for both small "cottage industry" - and as a teaching standard for any African Technical Institute able to provide the trade training such industries need.

Step two is the establishment of the first of several companies in Sub Saharan Africa able to both manufacture the various components this machine uses and to on-develop the Software and Electronic modules. This presents the first of several investment opportunities in "CNC" and is described in a pdf document linked below.

The next step is the manufacture of the machine itself and the establishment of a company somewhere in Africa to import and upgrade older western machine tools using this developed technology.

The company to manufacture the stepping motor and drivers is being established in Ethiopia and shares will be available in May 2008.
